“Sherbet” Natural Hand & Body Soap

You know how great it is when something turns out EXACTLY the way you wanted it to?  Well, that’s happened to me TWICE THREE TIMES so far this week!  YAY!

Boy I’m really excited about this new hand soap!  (Really, Becky?  We wouldn’t have guessed!)

I designed it as a 100% Natural Chef’s Soap, but it would also make a great Gardener’s Soap, Mechanic’s Soap,  -even a great Body Soap, it’s sure moisturizing enough!

It starts with a layer of Rosmary Soap that’s colored with French Green Clay, next comes a layer of Sweet Orange Poppyseed w/Moroccan Red (rhoussal)Clay -topped off with a layer of invigorating Lemongrass Soap.  This soap is superfatted with a 3-Butter Blend of Unrefined Shea, Mango & Cocoa to provide the extra conditioning needed for frequent washings.

Natural Acne Soap

After receiving numerous requests for a Natural Acne Soap -I’ve finally gotten off my duff and into the soap lab.

This natural acne soap is designed to clean skin gently, yet thoroughly (3 types of clay: French Pink, French Green and Bentonite draw impurities from the skin without over-drying) and leave skin soft, smooth & lightly moisturized (accomplished with Extra Virgin Olive Oil as the sole superfatting additive).

A blend of Lavender & Petitgrain essential oils were added for their anti-bacterial & anti-inflammatory properties.

Here’s what I ended up with, Heirloom Soapworks Natural Acne Soap:

If you would like to participate, simply be one of the first eight folks to leave a comment below or contact me and I will put you on the list.  Sample bars will be mailed out on 3-5-12

“Natural”, “All Natural”….what do they mean to YOU?

Do you ever wonder about things as you’re soaping?  Driving perhaps?  Waiting in line?

Well, I do.  A lot.  And today I’m wondering what does “natural” on a label mean to you, as a consumer?

(I am quite sure what it means to me, but I’m curious as to whether I’m in the majority…or living happily in la-la-land).
What about “all natural”?  What does that mean to you when you are buyingsomething with that specific term on the package?

What are your expectations with regard to ingredients?

Do you truly care, or does it just make you feel vaguely better to see it on the pkg?  No wrong answers here….just wanting to understand buyers a little better.

I’m curious as to what these mean to the product’s end user, because after all, that’s the meaning that matters.  IMO that’s the one who should absolutely get what they think they’re getting.

So, again, Mr/Ms Consumer….what do “natural” and “all natural” mean to you?

Anxiously awaiting clarification from you all to ease my wondering….at least for the moment!

Happy Soaping! :)
